    emergency clause and will be in effect immediately upon
    passage.

Razorback buses not enough: Ozark Regional Transit needs to expand
Tonight is the second reading for the ¼-percent sales-tax measure that the Washington County Quorum Court can put on the ballot in May. The ¼-percent sales tax would be used to EXPAND Ozark Regional Transit to make it a truly viable alternative transportation option. This has obvious environmental and economic benefits, as well as social benefits.
I hope you’ll consider coming to the Quorum Court tonight at 6:00 pm to address our elected representatives about the need for public transit and your support for putting this initiative on the ballot in May. We can move Fayetteville and Washington County ahead significantly and provide leadership to the NWA region by funding public transit at the level at which it needs to be funded.

10. AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING A ONE FOURTH OF ONE
PERCENT (0.25%) SALES AND USE TAX FOR THE
SUPPORT OF A PUBLIC MASS TRANSPORTATION
SYSTEM AND FACILITY, AND RESOLVING TO REFER
SUCH TO THE ELECTORATE.  This ordinance is on first
 reading and is being recommended by the County Services
 Committee.  (10.1-10.3) JOHN FIRMIN
